I Got My Package!

Oh what a surprise after getting home, for once our mailman was alittle early and I sure was glad!! I received my package from the 9 to 5 Multitasking group on Ravelry. This is what the package looked like upon opening. Everything wrapped so nice and pretty colors :) and then this is a pic of the overall haul, Thanks you mystery pal!! There is one fatality but I plan on fixing it to make it better. You may see it in the close up pic but I'm not gonna point it out ;) I love it to much.
Thanks so much Ole pal of mine, whomever you may be. Yep, no note or name, just a PO Box in New Jersey so I hope she checks up on me so she knows I Thank her very very much!! I just love it all and it sure smelled good. The yummies did that the little time they were in the mail truck, could smell that spearmint as soon as I picked up that part of the wrapped items.
I can't wait to dig into them, its been years since I've had them. She filled a Coca-Cola bowl with my other favorite, midget tootsie rolls.
I can't wait to make something with the yarn,
Its Kara (soy silk wool), just love the colors, perfect :)
Then we have 2 scarves (handmade). The one is just in time for the 4th!!
I don't know where she found these pens but I just laugh every time I see that green ostrich one (gosh I hope its an ostrich), lol I will definitely spot that one a mile away. I love the pads, I write myself notes constantly and this one has the days of the week. Be nice to get organized whether it be work or home, right now home needs it more, so the pencil cube may stay right here.

Hopefully I'll find out who my pal was so i can send her an email..I have too many anonymous emails to pick through to figure out which one is her...lol so I hope she gets to see this post and know that I thank her so much!!

Dogs on Thursday

Oh my gosh I must say I'm having a hard time getting a photo of these two. They are hells angels this morning... Wild Women I tell ya, so I dug up a photo of where Coco thinks Lady is her chew bone..lol

Lady doesn't seems to mind until she bites too hard, that and it kinda goes back and forth between the two biting on each other, so Lady gets back at her sometimes. Coco usually has Lady fur hanging out her mouth..lol I can see this will be a bad habit to try and break her of.

I have been trying to get a photo of the two standing next to each other as Coco is growing and as the boys say, " she isn't a low rider anymore". Coco has to duck to get under Lady now. I will still work on that and maybe luck out for next weeks post. They are characters though, its so funny to see the little fluff ball start antagonizing Lady on and then she runs for cover...lol

Hope you all have a great DoT day! Gotta go brush these two now, there is hair everywhere!!

KIC Topic # 3

Well now that Summer has OFFICIALLY begun.. what do you do to beat the heat? A nice tall glass of lemonade? Frozen Coffee? A dip in the pool? What's your favorite way to keep cool this summer as things heat up?

Well its that time of year when you stay inside and enjoy the A/C and a big glass of Sweet Ice Tea, better known as sweet tea! Sometimes I do have a big bowl of ice cream with lots of Hershey syrup and choc cool whip:) Now that cools me off a bunch! I do want to get the doggies pool out to see if Lady will take an interest in it this year and also to see what Coco will do..lol should be interesting but that would be a morning thing on one of moms days off. sometimes I sit in it myself!

It is never easy, but friends can hold each other up and be there for them even if miles separate us!

Keepin Cool Dishcloth Swap Topic #2

Share with us how you know that summer has truly 'arrived', or something that signifies the start of Summer in your world.
Well out here in the desert you get two temps, Cool or HOT. you know the heat is on here when your turning your heater off and your A/C on! Then some shrubs/plants start shriveling up or get burnt from the heat. You also don't see everyone outside as often as before...lol
We've had a mild winter so I suspect this summer is gonna be a doozy as we're hitting the high temps early. Yea I know, its a dry heat everyone says, but I hate that blow dryer feeling...lol

It's Here!!

Yeah, it's finally here, plugged in and getting cold, so here's the pic's as promised as we wait to put everything in it.


Its a new LG French Door Refrigerator with LARGE water & ice opening!

We went with the single freezer drawer as the double freezer drawer had lose of freezer space. (sorry for the glare) Its stainless, which I really didn't want, but thats the price I'm willing to pay for the larger water/ice openig and that little tray slides out so you can sit a pitcher on it to fill. This frig is 25 cubic feet, which was our other one, but to me this sure looks alittle smaller..lol Hey, it goes with the gray trim...lol Here it is opened up.

Now we wait about 2-3 hours till it gets cold and then I get to play put food items back in. It'll be worth it though, in the meantime I might make a cake as its my baby's birthday!

Yep, youngest son Nick is 29 years old today. (I started young) Moms Flag day baby!

B-day Goodies!

I received a box in the mail yesterday evening from my YarnDemon friend Anita! She told me she was sending me Birthday goodies and was sorry that they'd be late. Well that okay, cause according to Chan we can celebrate all month long :) So while I'm waiting for my new frig to come (yes, I'll post pics later after its here), I thought I'd share my goodies with you all.

Just look at all these neat and pretty items.

I do love it all and I can honestly say the towel and one of the dishcloths are in use already. I'm so glad too, cause my purple stuff really was clashing..lol

Thank you so much Anita!! I'm so glad that we've met and I hope one day to get to meet you in person, then we can ride together too :) I took close ups of the sea shells, I just know that she made them and they are beautiful!! New magnets for my new frig!

I use to have a real starfish, but through the years it got broken up. We were first stationed in Puerto Rico and our neighbor friends and Mike did snorkel for shells. We still have some of our original shells too.

I just love the purple items

as they are mine & Anita's favorite colors. I thought these were really cute,(and special) can't wait to to smell the soap, though I must admit, I've never seen a purple apple..lol I just love the Mary candle, I may have to take that to work. I love the saying on it too, I think it fits me!

Anita, you really gave the weekend a great start!! Thank you, you truely are a special friend!!

Chillin Out DoT

Well you sure can tell Mom is busy with other things. ..lol I came downstairs after cleaning the boys bathroom to find my furry kids just chillin out in separate areas. Of course Lady in her favorite spot other then the sofa, her version of ignoring me too by not looking up..

and Coco in the downstairs bathroom, (one still needing cleaning). This is where we put Coco also when we're not home so its kinda her "safe" spot. Makes me wonder what she'll do when I take everything out to clean it...lol

My Crochet-along Cloth

Just wanted to show off the cute little cloth we just finished up today in our 2nd crochet-along over at the Clothmakers group. This is where the pattern is and its one of Judith's designs. I was beginning to wonder what it was that I was crocheting until we got to the tail part, then it dawned on me being a previous fish owner... isn't he cute?

I wish I had a bit more of this cotton as Coco took an interest and I thought putting two together and stuffing would make a great stuffed chew toy. Be better then Lady's tail she's been chomping on lately...lol I'll just have to remake a couple more as they are super easy.

I guess I am the oddball in the group as I have no favorite. I do admire quite a few (like ones posted on every ones blogs), those lovely cables, the eyelets and even the picture one, but most of them are knitted which leaves me to wonder if I'd even be able to do them. I have done a few, but nothing to brag about..lol For now, I'll just keep admiring and I know one day I will brave out into a new pattern or stitch. Now for crochet ones I do like the Little Dress dishcloth and the Angel dishcloths, why, cause they are different.

to me....lol Thanks to all that have wished me one so far and for future wishes. Not fun having to work, but since its my day, I can kinda clown around some :) My thanks to Chan as she linked me! Did I tell you all your getting old...lol I'm only 15 this year :) ROTFLOL

Almost Forgot DoT

Not much to say except Rob got this shot just a few minutes ago and boy am I glad! I've been waiting for one like this. The guys always tell me that Lady usually has a leg over Coco when their laying together, but this works better. You can all see how realxed Lady is with her. Too good to be true really..lol Could I have gotten that lucky? Guessing time will tell and speaking of time, I gotta go. Got a couple things to take care of before we leave to go bowl.

Kitchen Pic's

I finally got my pics off the camera, but there weren't too many of the kitchen, but here are a few that will give you what it kinda looks like. This is the kitchen area with Dining area still the old color.

I do miss my lavender, after all the dishes and stuff are mostly purple, but its also a great change after 13 yrs. This next shot you can see how it totally changed the kitchen atmosphere. Seems alot brighter to us.

I do promise that behind the stove is the new color now too. Had to have Mike put a new gas line on, one that was longer so I can pull it out occasionally now for cleaning purposes.

And last but not least, one of kitchen inspectors....

I know I will have to watch myself as Coco kinda blends in with the flooring, but I wanted to show the baseboard. I was thinking of repainting the cabinets the same color, but now not too sure. Don't want it to be too dark in the kitchen. So I'm thinking just the kick boards around the cabinets would work. After I get everything back in there I can do more shots. Have to get the kitchen stuff out of the living room today, tired of looking at it..lol
