New Pattern tested

Well the test pattern I did is out of the bag now lol ...I absoltely love this bag, in knitting its called the B-4 Bag and can be found here http://b4bag.blogspot.com/ Well now it can be done in crochet, yes crochet (for all those who can't knit, like "me") but the name of this bag is Beads, Welts & Popcorn Bag and can be found here http://suzies-yarnie-stuff.blogspot.com/2007/02/beads-welts-and-popcorns-bag.html Thanks so much to Suzetta for designing this and also for letting me pattern test it. I was really excited to do that as I fell in love with this bag from the git-go (I'm sure I bugged her enough about it too). Here's the bag I did on testing the pattern, everyone loves the colors which in the store were more purplish and matched great with the grey...lol different lighting and felting I guess, but didn't turn out too bad. I am starting another one tonight and will take it with tomorrow as I have 2 hours to play with while we wait for our bowling league to start. (we go right from work as its closer there)

It was a great feeling today too as I got my Exchange tote mailed out to my partner & she should have it in 2-3 days. I hope she likes it. I still haven't figured my tote partner out yet, shame on me, but I usually have to be hit over the head to figure things like that out..I'm sure she gave me all the right clues, I'm just brain dead or its too easy :) Thats okay, I love surprises!

Tote is Done & Ready to Mail

Wow, didn't realize I was behind on posting, but I'm glad to say my tote for the ITEIII is finished and I will be mailing it out tomorrow. Whew, sigh of relief, it was fun though and I made it through all the worries of first time things, plus making handles about 3 times...lol My partner will be glad to get it as I know she's been waiting so patiently, now her wait is over, just excitement as to when it arrives and all the goodies inside.

I've been working on other projects too, decided with that brown wool and the pretty turquoise that I would make another tote with. I did make the Chic on a Halfshell purse, but I used a tweed color for it, didn't come out too bad. Heres a pic of that, although I no longer have the purse...lol one of the gals at work liked it so much I let her take it home, but not with my scarf project in it :) I'll be finishing that up next so I can get a couple scarves sent off to charity.

Well guess thats about that for now.. Pattern testing again and boy did that came out nice, just can't say yet what it was, but I sure was excited about it. I'll keep you posted when I can on it.

Catching up!

Well, my tote is all crocheted and boy is it huge! Now to do the felting.(which hopefully shrinks its to the size I'm hoping for) Hoping I do it right as its my first time. Will post a pix when its all finished. If all else fails, I just got my yarn order in and now have lots of pretty new yarn to do something else :) Was a nice surprise to come home to this evening. Got some tweed, some boucle, some glittery, some wool and another ribbon type and cotton, can't wait to play with it! Been itchin to crochet more...lol Especially seeing all the great bags on the tote exchange blog...beautiful bags, I think I may turn out to be a bag-o-holic yet...lol I want them all...lol

I Was Bad :)

I had to run out and get more yarn today as I ran out for the tote I'm doing...Well, I get to the store, get the yarn I need plus an extra or 2 just in case and then I spotted this pretty sparkley yarn just calling to me...lol Its called Mystic by Patons and its so soft and really prettier than the picture shows.

Well it jumped in my basket along with a few friends and home it came with me..lol :) I think it's gonna make a great purse and match a pair of sandels I have. This is the purse that Im thinking of doing it in. Hoping to get my tote done first though. ..which speaking of I must get back to. Have a great week!

Plan B for Tote

Well I have been busy on my tote for the Tote Exchange. I am doing a different pattern as the one I was trying to design wasn't working the way I was doing it, but with some feedback I had gotten about it I think I will be able to make it work out eventually. Just don't have the time I need to do it right now so i went to "plan B" for my tote. It is coming out pretty good, looks like it will be huge, but with felting it should shrink down some. I did make it bigger than whats pictured. Picture is for the style of tote, just bigger and the blues for color.(one in the background) Not sure if the pal I'm making for will figure me out or not, we shall see. I am stumped on the pal making my tote, she's definitely a secret pal...lol Well back to working on my project, until later...........

Crochet-a-long Dishcloth

Well we hit the last row on our dishcloth crochet-a-long and here's what my finish cloth looks like, isn't it pretty...lol...I didn't know what to expect as it was my 1st crochet-a-long, but I had fun. Almost kinda wish I would've had my lilac color cotton still, but I do plan to make a few more just for fun. Thanks Judith for posting the crochet-a-long!! Had a blast. Sure hope we can do another crochet-a-long.

Tote Exchange Started

I'm so excited and yet stumped..lol I know the tote I want to do but have to figure out how as I don't really knit. May have to try and design the tote in crochet., but am going out today to Michaels to go scout around and come home with all my makings, one way or another. Am so anxious to start making this and posting the progress. I'm getting very motivated seeing others post their colors and can't wait to do the same. Well off I go....have a good one!
