1.) Do you like loose tea or bags, or both – something you want to try? I've only tried bags, but would love to try loose tea
2.) What is your favorite kind of tea (Brand, flavor, variety, etc)? I've only have tried Mint, Raspberry, Apple Cinnamon (lipton brands) but open to try new, would like to stay with caffeinated tea if possible. (I'm weird and decafe wires me up)
3.) Favorite color in regards to tea or one you would like to try? (black, green, red, and white) (keeping in mind that this is how this swap is set up). This one is hard to answer not having tried very many teas... Guess I'm open to variety..Is there a purple or chocolate tea?? lol
4.) Would you say you were a tea pot kind of person or just a hot water heater kind?Mostly hot water type, but am planning on buying a teapot real soon and hope to eventually get Mike & I mugs with strainers. I have nothing tea related..lol
5.) What tea accessories would you like but have never purchases for yourself? Probably any as I don't have any accessories for tea yet.
6.) How do you prefer to be pampered? (examples: mani/pedi, bubble bath, yummy treat, etc).
Pampered, whats that..lol I'm lucky to be able to sit in my recliner without a dog in my lap so I could drink or eat anything..lol Otherwise spending time outside with a drink of tea/coffee is good for soothing my soul :)
7.) If you were a kind of yarn what would you be and why? Would have to go with a Cotton blend that gives alittle... seems whatever life throw our way, we can stretch alittle to go with the flow and then bounce right back into shape.
8.) If you had to knit/crochet baby booties, a fun fur scarf, or a fair isle sweater, which would you choose and why? I'm gonna go with the Fair Isle Sweater only cause I love a challenge of seeing if I can do things. Otherwise smaller projects for during the week, makes me feel like I have accomplished something..lol
9.) What other event would make you skip a tea party? (A garden party? A book club meeting? A yoga class? Opening night for a new action thriller? etc?) I normally wouldn't miss the tea party or anything else that I had planned, but I could see a bowling getting in the way if it lands on one of our league nights. (only a few weeks left, then only 1 night a week)
10.) What treat would you consider essential at your tea party? (Sweet? Salty? Scones? Those petite pastry trays with a couple of all sorts of things? Little crust less sandwiches?) Sweets or fruits and those little crustless sandwiches. I have never had a scone so I don't really know what they are..lol
11.) When buying yarn for a project how do you choose - do you buy the one called for or do you substitute? Depends on a project and then I'm one to try anything.. Ex: a bag pattern in cotton I want to make one using wool just to see how it'd come out..lol, but if the color catches my eye well then I try to get the exact thing or at least that color.
12.) What do you carry your knitting/crocheting in when on the go? One of my new totes/bags from my recent swaps. (the newest one, so roomy and pockets)
13.) Favorite movie to watch while knitting/crocheting? Music..lol can't watch a movie while crocheting, it messes up my count and my stitches get all off and I wind up having to frog the whole thing..lol Wouldn't dream of it with knitting just yet..lol
14.) Are you a traditional tea cup kind of person or a mug type of person? Do you care if they match? Mostly mugs (only some things have to match, but drinking cups or mugs no mater)
15.) Favorite childhood birthday party? The one that comes to mind is my 2nd B-day, remember the cake being a Circus Merry-go-round. Other memories are remembering my daddy playing tea (using water) with me in the evenings after supper while mom did dishes :)
16.) Favorite type of scone and jam? In all honestly I have never had a scone, really! Favorite Jam's are Pineapple, Peach, Raspberry or mostly any berries & I love Apple butter
17.) If you use candles, what is your favorite scent? The candles that smell like baked goods or citrus scents, Black Cherry & then Ocean scent if their is such a thing :)
18.) If you could choose 3 people to have 'tea' with, who would they be and why? (famous or not, living or dead). Top 2 would be my parents, I do miss them and 3 would be one of my husbands aunts, she was such a sweetheart and like another mom, miss her too.
19.) You've been invited to a tea party, what 'props' will you wear (formal or casual)? If formal I think I would splurge and get a hat (one of those victorian ones maybe) and fancy dress (yes I can dress up :)). If casual then you'd find me in some type of jeans (skirt or pants), nice shirt with sandels- unless barefootin is aloud :)
20.) Any allergies/preferences you have or are willing to admit to? Dust bothers me but thats about it (only out here in the desert).
21.) Anything we missed that you want your pal to know? Just that I hope to learn alot from this swap about teas (caffiene please) and different ways of making it, different types of sweets & treats to have with it.... I love to bake when I have time...Want you to have fun and if you need any other info, don't be afraid to ask, I do :)

My ITE4 Tote Came!!
What a nice surprise to come home from work to see that the mailman had already come :)
(Our big box mailbox didn't have a key in it) I knew it was for me, had to be as I didn't have alot of time to do much, cause we bowl on Thursday nights and my pal said she sent my package....Usually the way it is...lol I was right, my ITE4 pal, who was Janet sent me this lovely, big Lime Green tote with beads throughout it with a lining to boot that has Big Pockets!!!! Its Fabulous and I love it!! Thank you Janet, Thank you!!!

The color is right on, pockets that have snaps and theres even a hard bottom in the lining. I think she doubled the fabric on that and around a board of some type...Fantastic job Janet!! Thank you so much!!!!You did great and I love it and all the goodies...theres a pattern that is knit (for when I get better at it),
Tea Rose Sachet that had my dogs noseying around..lol but smells good, some note cards, 2 beautiful skeins of purple Wool and 1 lime green Beadnik skein which I can't wait to try, I've been wanting to try that stuff, looks neat! She also made some beautiful Beaded Stitch Markers
that my cat tried to play with as she was sitting on my desk at the time, just waiting for the moment mom would look away...lol I've really enjoyed having Janet as my Upstream Pal, she actually kept in touch and I have to be honest, I thought she made up her name as her anonymous name...lol To my surprise it is her actual name. Don't know if she has a blog or not, if she does I hope that she'll let me know, but in the meantime Janet, I hope your pal is as good to you as you were to me!! Thank you again! I can't wait to show off my new bag :) Must find a project for my yarns too!

I wish I had taken a close up of her Stitch Markers as I made her Pink Flamingo's :) I didn't do my usual known "Vegas Dice" as I don't have but a few left and having hard time finding more. But I think the Flamingo's came out really cute. I'm just happy she liked everything so much as it was her first ITE.

Another Market Bag

Alrighty, I just finished up another Market Bag...this time it was to see how many "skeins" it would take verses using a cone full of cotton and having not quite half the cone left (rough estimate there).
Well this is what I'm calling "The Key Lime Pie" Market Bag...lol Name of the cotton actually and I used 5 plus about a half of a 6th skein. I used the varigated 2 oz. size. Everytime I look at this bag, I see different ways to change it cotton wise..placing solid stripe here and there or solid trimming around bag/handle, but it is definitely a nice size bag wether using for the Market or using for holding yarn. Hooks or needles would need to be in something so they don't fall through the holes. Make a great beach bag too!
In case you interest in the pattern, it can be found here... Market Bag For this bag I used Sugar n Cream as rarely see Peaches n Cream out this way. Pattern called for Cotton-Ease.
Thats my news for today..now on to my dishcloths :) Hope everyone has a great day!!

extra's that
I can't show....never know when swap pals may peek in and see..lol Wouldn't want to ruin the surprises.... The SWS I want to do another croceht B4Bag look alike and use black for the welts..in person the SWS looks black, not Navy like it says on label..lol

and the Stain Glass Window Bag . I just love that bag (Stain Glass Window) and its inspired me even more to learn to knit, heck I just may try that first!
Also, we all love to do contest and there is a contest here so blog on over and enter, It ends July 25th so there is still time. I found it through Chan's blog.
I did do some crocheting this weekend. I crocheted The Market Bag for a good friend of mine. It was so so easy and fast too! I started it on Friday afternoon and only had to finish up the handle Saturday morning. I really was surprised that I didn't try this bag before. I will say it is BIG, measure 15" across the center bottom which is circular. Nice size for market or even make a great beach bag to throw things in or a project bag too. Here's a pic of the one I made.
Came out great! I have started another one for myself too :)

Contest DDOS Swap Homemade Items
Geesh with all the catching up I forgot to post for the contest...Dog Days of Summer Dishcloth Contest posted this.....
Make a post (All of you blog-free folks should have invites to post your answers here), and hopefully include a photo - of your very favorite handmade item that you actually use or wear. It can be something you made, or it can be something you were given. Or it can be one of each! Let's see some knitterly (and crochetterly!) goodness!(to clarify before the question comes up: if your favorite handmade item isn't knit or crochet, but is instead sewn or otherwise made, that's really fine too :) this is just about showing off how wonderfully crafty we all can be)AND Include a link to something you've seen on another swappers blog that you'd like to make. It can just be a yarn color you liked, or a pattern, or anything you saw and thought "ooh I should make that!"Deadline is one week from today, the 24th, at midnight EDT.
Well my favorite crochet item that I actually made for myself and use all the time..handy thing made special for my kitchen...
my Angel Bag Holder..I've made many for friends and co-workers and need to make another for myself for upstairs..They hold all them dang plastic bags and I recycle them using them for collecting trash in the smaller trashcans.

LOL I find everyone's blog to have something i wanna make... how am I suppose to decide that one...lol
So in deciding I guess I'm gonna have to go with I want to make... SOCKS, I just have to do it..Here a pic of book I have and I WILL learn this..
and also because this time of year is so gosh dang HOT out here I can't really send these types of items so, I'm wanting to make some of these so I can send to pals and know they won't melt...lol
Wouldn't you like some of these?? Come on, you know you do..just think, they won't effect any kind of diets either..lol (I do have this booklet too).

ITE4 Tote Finished
Well i finally got my ITE4 Tote finished. Got it stuffed with all the goodies as you'll see in the pic, but not posting seperate pic of goodies till my partner get her package. It really is hard to believe that all the goodies fit inside the bag, so maybe it didn't turn out too small after all.

Sorry don't have the picture of the box, was just so excited when I saw the address, but you could find it here..its one of those... tall white one on the right :)
Well this is what was inside....(wrapped in pretty tissue paper of course)
Gorgeous Purple colors...the Purple is Cascade 220 and the Lavendar is Lavish 100% superfine Alpaca....First time seeing (& touching) these types of yarns and I tell ya that Lavish is so soft, I now see why everyone likes to see these in person and do the touchy feelie thing.. (and yes I squeezed it like it was Charmin, couldn't help myself it softness is so unreal..lol) Nancy wrote in the card and said the unlabeld yarn is from MCY its 65% wool 35% silk and won't felt. It is still Beautiful and of course in my colors :) I definitely have to find something special to make with these...they're just so beautiful!! Thank you!!
The topper was the Soap...its shaped like Angel Wings, which will stay like it is..I love Angels and everything about them and do collect, so this will be a lookie only soap! :)
Oh Nancy...you were just too good to me!! I love everything and can't say Thank you enough as I haven't seen or used any of these types of yarns except for on the internet (which she's know, but I think she's in my head now :) ). The yarn and colors are just so beautiful and more so in person. Thank you for giving me that opportunity :) I was glad to be a part in celebrating your First year Blogiversary!!

First what I've been up too lately... Hopefully the pic of the Earrings are close by this line...lol
Showed a gal at work some Stitch Markers I had done for some swaps and whats become of kind of a trademark now for me (hopefully can find more of these dice). She made a comment on making them Earrings and she wanted some for some friends..so here's what I've been working on over the weekend.... I thought they came out really nice..now if I could figure a way to make them interchangable from earring to plain ring from when wearing them and knit/crocheting and needing a marker you could just take it out of your ear..lol Wha-la!! (yeh, I know, I'm nutz sometimes, but I think it would work lol)
Second I finished up the bag for my ITE4 pal..this is a pre-felt pic...must get this bag put together now so I can get my final pic of finished said bag & out to be mailed! :)
On to the next posts as I got my yarnie prize from Nancy from her Blogiversary Contest!! C-ya in a minute or two :)
