Its Getting Close!

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas, especially around our house! I couldn't help myself when up at the Base exchange today. I saw a Christmas Music Box and I bought it :) Isn't it pretty?
It plays "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". I almost can't wait to decorate for Christmas, its my favorite time of the year! I know, I know, its early, but when you have a husband who loves Christmas and is like your youngest kid, its hard not to look through Christmas stuff especially when the stores out here are already setting it up. We've been on the look out at Sam Clubs. We were told that this year they'll have a new village set out, so every weekend we go check it out to see if their out yet. So far they only have the light stuff out. Anything village we like especially setting it up to go along with the train. Which they'll started doing, reason I've got Christmas on the brain! That and I have finished the beaded parts of a couple more of my Christmas Ball covers. I put the red one on a silver ball this time,
Really changed the look somewhat. On this one I did Gold beads then I did the blue, I finally located enough of those bluish beads to match that thread. I do apologize for the flash, dang it, it looks so much nicer in person. The ball is a Matte White finish. I think once I get enough of them done I'll take outside pics so the flash won't be in the way, that is after I figure out what to hang them from..lol
Well I guess I should go supervise the tree set up, been waiting most the day for them to finish playing with the track stuff so I can get that area vacuumed..lol
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!! Make it a great one!

Doggies on Thursday

Not too much to share this week as its been busy both at work and at home. I'm sure my gals are feeling a little left out, but we're managing. Lady's been in heat reminding me that I have to get that taken care of just as soon as Coco is old enough. One more month to go, I believe!
Since I've had a few doggie shot lately that only leaves me this one ....
Coco sure does love Lady. She always has a paw or two over some part of Lady. (and she gives kisses too) She is getting so big that I don't even realize it until she is next to Lady. I still have a hard time believing how great they get along, though at times I think Lady wants a break...lol Coco loves to antagonize!!

Since I had doggie pics on my last post I'm gonna include my latest finished market bag.
I just love the colors in this cotton. It is Sugar N Cream and its called "The Dye Stripes" I'll definitely be making more :-)

Well time is flying..lol Catch you all next time! Enjoy your day!

Time Flies

Wow, has this weekend gone by quick! BUT, I do have some crafty things to show for it. I'm making market bags again and this red one is for a co-worker. I started one in red Cotton Ease, but ran out of yarn, so when I ran out for more and couldn't find it and I picked up Micro Spun. The Micro Spun is almost like the cotton ease in softness, might be a hair smaller yarn size, but not much difference, but boy did it work up real nice. So I still have the started one in Cotton Ease that I'll need to get another skein for.
After I finished that one I started another for myself in this color. I'm liking the way the colors are coming out. I can't wait till its finished. I'm gonna be making myself a bunch, tired of all the plastic bags even though I do reuse them, these will just be prettier to bring groceries home in.
I also got a chance to get a better pic of my ornament as Christmas items are starting to come out in different stores around town. I took advantage and picked up some Christmas balls. This looks much nicer than over the top of a dome cover...lol
I really think I could put these covers on a bit bigger Christmas Balls too. Can't wait to get the rest of the beads together and done so I can show you the other colors I've done. Just seems the weekends go by so quickly.
I did clean some this morning so the doggies stayed out of the way. Poor Coco hates the vac so she laid with Lady. This is the pic Rob took while I was finishing up.
They don't know how lucky they are too as mom was just to tired to get them in the bath...lol I tried to brush Coco some, her fur is just a matted mess, a few spritz of detangler and careful brushing and she looks alittle better. Definitely baths next weekend though. Trying to get Coco use to baths and especially the brushing. She hates to get brushed.
Well hope you all have a great week ahead, back to my market bag.

Lady's Blankie Complete with Dog!

Well if I'm not a bonehead...but at least it on the right post day. Happy DoT to everyone. Sorry this is late but I forgot to get my pic's off the camera and then forgot to write my post up last night. Work computer doesn't give me everything to be able to do that..but here we are and I finally finished that blankie (felted blankie) for Lady. Here's the pic after felting
Now this thing was as big as my new kitchen table so it shrank alot! Here's Lady as soon as I laid it down..
During the weekend I caught this shot, not too often I do butt shots, but I knew they were up to something!
Little stinkers, now I have more bricks to lay out, hopefully this weekend as this is what they were doing
I have plenty more of the bricks just on the other side of the wall there so that won't be a problem. Weather has been alittle cooler in the 90's now, but weekends we've been doing outside stuff, so guess you could say they were busy too..lol
Well, off to go bowling, but before I do, I thought I'd leave you all with the shot I've been after for a while now...My 3 Musketeers :-)
(Thank you Rob for being quick with the camera)
Happy Doggie Days to you, have a great evening!

Happy Birthday Meow!

"Happy Birthday Electra" aka Panther as my dad always called her. I debated posting this, but I would definitely be mad at myself if I didn't. Today Electra would've been 14 years old. She was my Christmas kitty when we first moved here in 94. I wanted to post just to share some pictures of my angel kitty. She loved to lay on "Everything" (and she loved box's). Here's some proof...
She love to lay on the kitchen table especially if someone left a napkin out, but always got down when we were ready to eat. You always had to keep the butter covered as she just loved to lick on it! I use to have to watch when bags were on the floor too, she love to lay in the paper ones. Here she is in box's She definitely had a thing for baskets. What started out as a basket to hold dog toys, wound up to be her laying area. I eventually made small granny squares the size to lay in the baskets. She was great with the dogs and even though she was declawed she wasn't gonna let them know and would defend herself, though she never had to do anything other then hiss a couple times...lol This was her most favorite spot...
You could always count on her being there when you needed to go...lol Whenever my daughter-in-law would visit, Electra couldn't wait for the baby to come out of this...lol
She would never go near the baby, but she sure loved his seat.
She didn't mind it too much when kitty #2 came along, gave her a cuddling buddy and I never could find a big enough basket for them!
They love the afghans, they were always on them even f you were under them...lol You couldn't take a nap covered up in one without one of the two laying on you too and when crocheting, yeah, she loved yarn, loved to lay on it, in it and was always in my lap when crocheting. She was my lap kitty for sure! I surely do miss her, especially when using the butter or thawing it out for baking.
Love you Electra and I sure miss you dearly, but am glad you aren't hurting anymore, if only I had known...
No teasing those doggies now.

Great Kodak Moment!

Wow, right on time for my DoT post. What a great "Kodak" moment, don't ya think?
I really couldn't believe it and I managed to grab the camera right above me as this was right in front of my feet as I was sitting at my desk. After seeing the picture it looks like Dyna is covering her eyes from the flash..lol I was so amazed the two so close and still laying still I didn't notice Dyna's look..They definitely are getting better, though Coco will still chase her sometimes.

Then Rob managed to catch the two girls on the sofa. He thought someone put Coco up there, but when he looked around and saw no one he grab the camera quick! My new set of bookends. Coco got up on the sofa all by herself. I think the two must've been running around and she got a good running jump, cause she can't do that when she's just in the living room looking up at you to pick her up...lol Makes me wonder how long they were like this though...lol I do know they put some miles on the flooring with all their chasing around as their doggie beds are ALWAYS all scrunched together and up against the TV all the time...lol Worse then kids sometimes, but deep down, I wouldn't have it any other way. Their my spoiled brats...

Well, Happy DoT to all!! I'll get myself around to all your blogs soon. Have a good one!

Lazy Day Post

Wow, another DoT and I'm picture-less except for this one.
Coco being lazy..lol I can't blame the pups either, its dang awful hot again. Thought for sure we would get a break from the heat with the 90's, but our 100's are back until next week. Girls are happy though, cause I made them more ice cream. Such a bad mom getting them in the habit of ice cream every night..lol But they do love it! (and so do I)

If you get a chance over on the DoT blog there are some information links on how to protect your pets during hurricanes or other storms. Thanks Paula for posting that.
Speaking of Paula, she is asking if anyone has any snuggles or blankie that can be donated, she is collecting for the hurricane pet victims. I am gonna try to get a couple made up too.

Well thats all I have for this post, gotta go bowling shortly...Oh before I forget, you have to go see Chan & the Knights Beautiful Memory Garden. Mark did a nice job indeed with it and theirs pretty flowers too. Its really beauti-mous!!
