DoT- With Photos

Wow, I remembered to post and I have a couple pic's too! Miracles do happen sometimes with me...lol Hello and Happy DoT! Another week and the girls have been great! Coco is at it again with the tasting of the carpet, but up on the top stair now. That makes 2 steps that are missing pieces now..lol Glad I didn't replace it when I wanted to. Maybe she thinks she's helping me as I did want to rip it up...lol
Well today's photos are- 1 from a cell phone and the other is from one of our web cams. Hope that picture comes out to where you can see, but as someone said that they most likely sleep, you are right!
Here's the girls in the garage with us.
They seem to follow us everywhere now, where we go, they go and we don't mind at all. They are just too funny sometimes when it comes to that inside garage door. Our inside door leads right into the house so as long as the outer (2 car door width) is closed we're okay..they seem to time it just right as we come in and we're getting malled by one and don't realize that the other is still out in the garage, she sneaks through us ...its usually Lady that comes running back in when we open the door...lol
Now this next pic there is a brown spot up in the upper left hand corner, that is Coco just chillin out half on her back on the sofa. Our girls are allowed on the sofa, to me theres no sense having furniture if you don't use it. Besides its the doggies sofa anyways as Lady tasted it on the one end when she was a pup.
This week Coco had been laying right on the middle cushion and all stretched out like she's the sofa Queen. Mike couldn't zoom in this cam as it is the cam that fell to the floor when the dogs came running inside one day before we had the wire put up, but it shows a picture and that helps. We do have a wireless cam coming so we can spy on the upstairs. Seems Ms. Lady is always missing from our daily peeking in now and I'd just like to know that she is okay up there. Funny was the first day the gate wasn't up on the stairs, we didn't see the both of them in any shot until about 3 pm and then they are laying by the big gate just waiting for us. They do seem to have that sense they know we'll be home soon. I'm just glad to know they aren't killing each other. They do play around occasionally that first hour we're gone so if they get into any trouble, that's when it happens.
Well it is ice cream time (as this is being scheduled) and the girls await! Hope you all have a Happy Thursday!

Projects I Finally Got Through

Seems so long since I showed a finished Project, but then I think I spent more time waiting for yarn to come in so I could finish projects...lol I had the Crocheter's Tote on my January Gift List and WOW did that turn out huge when done, I have a before felting picture
as its felting now and then will be drying. I'll make sure its in my projects on ravelry when its done. Sorry no link, but the pattern is in the February 2009 Crochet World (the one with the Sweetheart Ripple on the cover). Only thing I forgot to measure the dang thing, but I know a few gals on my Tues. nite league can't wait to see it. They thought I was making a blanket..lol
In the meantime while waiting for yarn as I tried to make The Magic Shrug with the Teal Lion Suede I had, NOT, was way too heavy and too thick so I did order the yarn called for but in the Swish colorway. (pic borrowed from their site)
So I decided to make some of these..
This is the Cleopatra Necklace and it was the contest piece for this month In The Lisa Gentry Crochet Group. This first one (green) was my practice piece and then I decided to do another as it was fast and easy to do..the long time was planning which beads to use. So then I played with the dice and came up with this arrangement and wa-la. ..
didn't come out like I hoped it would but still looks okay.
I do like the green one better, but also I have a couple more different color arrangements lined up, just need to decide what color yarn/thread I want to use. (and finish a few other items).
So now with the tote drying, necklaces done and yarn ordered I sit again waiting..lol Kinda wish I had my craft room all set up, I could be sewing now. I need another weekend and then think I can set the machine up to leave out, don't think Dyna will bother too much as long as I keep the fun, shiny things put away..lol She is big on twisty ties..she constantly is on Mike's desk knocking them to the floor to play...silly kittie! By the way, she is doing great with the doggies now. She has her room (my craft room) all to herself during the day with new cat corner play thingy and other toys and then we open the door when we're home, so she has freedom the whole rest of the time. I do this for her safety and she's even been sitting on my shoulder again while I'm sitting here.
As for the dogs getting through the stair gate, we don't have it up anymore. Poor Coco looked so pittiful the other day cause she couldn't go up with Lady. Lady had gotten through it, but Coco couldn't figure out how too. The whole weekend and today they were great! We might invest in a wireless cam to add to the 3 wired ones we have just so we have something upstairs. We keep all doors shut so they can't really get into too much, but just knowing I would feel better. They spent the day today up and down..lol
Well guess that gets me updated somewhat in what I've been up too. Sure found alot when moving all the stuff back into the craft room..I'll be busy for years!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your evening goes well.
Keep them needle and hooks flying!

Kinda Pictureless DoT :(

Dang, another DoT and I can't get the photo from my new phone to my email (edit- pic down below)..don't know what year it will show up..lol So I guess we'll just say that the girls have been pretty good this week. We have a new game during the day that I get to watch. Just so you all know, we do and have had 3 web cams set up in the areas that the two are gated off. Two of the cams can even zoom in close and rotate :) If Mike hadn't been so busy this week I may have had a photo from them, but its been a busy week for him.
Anyways, our new game is let see how long it takes Lady to take the gate off the stairs...lol. For the last few days she has pulled it down and ran over it so her and Coco could go pester the cat, which Thank God has been behind a closed door for her safety. Wednesday I made our spring gate tight, but not so tight to go through the wall and well it took Lady about 8 or 9 tries till she disappeared from view...lol leaving poor Coco just watching and sitting on the bottom two steps. When we came in the door, the gate was still up, just cocked enough for Lady to get over it...not sure how she got back down other to jump and hope she didn't jump into the back of the chair, but the two where right there to greet us. So we've decided to keep putting that gate up, at least it gives her something to do or keeps her busy, especially when I forget to put the radio on. Not much to get into upstairs with all the doors shut so we're pretty safe. Think she may have gotten antsy as I forgot to put the radio on before we left. That usually calms our savage demonoid...lol

WOW- Well, here is the pic from Rob's cell, the kid was smarter than I in taking his memory card out and putting it in my monitor so Wa-la, we give you Lady laying over the back of the recliner...lol she's such a cute monster. Kinda makes me wish Coco would sit so still. She is really hard to get a pic of here lately...

About all the time I have for right now, so I'll go on and get, but want to wish you all a Happy Dogs on Thursday!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stop by other DoT members to see what they are up to lately.

DoT- Bad Doggies

Oh my but has it been a grand time for my two girls! When Nick mentioned he'd be moving out my first thought was "Oh Boy", here we go again...lol You see it takes a while to see what the girls will do when left alone, it has been awhile with Nick out of work since July. So we did our trial gating while he was still home. We went back to using the web cams to peek in on them to make sure, first time they have been alone so long.
All seemed to go well the first week and the second week and then "Holy Cow Batman", what happened? lol
Well our girls love stuff toys and I guess a small tiny pillow no bigger that 7x10 size was in the way on dads chair....Gosh I wish I would've had a picture..Holy Moley did they have a ball! Not sure who started it but they both wound up having a blast. There was little black stuffing EVERYWHERE!!! It took Nick an hour to vacuum it all up :) Bless his heart! Plus getting it out of Coc's fur...That was last Tuesday and then to top that off and I say, I've got dang smart girls or they got lucky, but last Thursday they decided to try a sofa pillow. I think I know that it isn't Lady, she lays her head on them and plus her and at the time Storm use to know if the pillows were in the chair blocking sitting position, then they weren't allowed in that spot. Well our little whiner, little Miss grunter , Coco didn't know that. They tore into the inside stuffing of a sofa pillow. After Nick came down to yet another stuffing mess, he informed me that they didn't ruin the pillow, they had unzipped it! Yea, something good out of doggies being bad...lol We are however stumped on how that came about, are they that smart to "unzip" a pillow or did they just get lucky? Crazy girls....So far this week has been good, knock wood and fingers crossed.
I know you all look for pic's, but I have no new pic's of Coco, but I'll leave you this one of Lady.
She looks very bored, but I think she is just trying to relax without the little monster Coco. Coco has been laying low since last weekend and getting a bath, don't think she trust me not to grab her so getting pics of her have been alittle harder lately. She's been bugging Lady something fierce..lol
Hope you all have a Happy DoT!! If you get a chance, stop on by and enjoys others posts..Neat to see what other doggies are up too.
Till next time...Enjoy your Day!!

What I have Been Up To Lately...

Wow, it has been a while since I last posted, but there's been lots going on and not enough time, but am here now with some updates and a contest win. Where to start....I have been trying to finish up some started projects only to run out of yarn. I sure hate that sometimes as I have a hard time getting back to that project I had to put down, but I waited for the new yarn to come and now I'm back in business. I still have 2 projects that are for a CAL that I just am having a hard time deciding what yarn to use...but think after the weekend I may know.
In all of this our youngest son (Nick), announced he's moving. Can't find a job here in Vegas so his friends dad offered him one up in Utah at one of his business's. He just left a couple hours earlier, shortly after we had gotten home from work as he needed help with a couple furniture pieces. Help he had lined up wound up getting called into work, but it worked out, I got to say Good-bye, though he will be back tomorrow night to bowl one last time.
So now this evening Rob (middle son), moved over to Nicks room so now I have my craft room back. I'm excited and yet not excited as I have crafts EVERYWHERE! lol I am waiting for the weekend of course so I have all the time to get things found, moved and organized. ...I hope, that could take a month of Sundays with everything I have around here..LOL..I do have to keep in mind that I share that room with Dyna still, that was her room when it use to be my craft room. So now I have to remember to put things like pipe cleaners, small yarn balls and ribbons away somewhere where she can't get to them as toys..lol
It was a so-so day today, but then our mailman left me a surprise. I belong to a crochet group on ravelry known as Lisa's Designs (Hooks-N-Needles) and there is a contest each month and whomever project gets the most votes, Lisa send them a prize package. Well I won the December contest and this is what won me a prize.....(to let you know, this was the hubsters idea) I call it my Hoilday Beaded Flower Ball.
and then this is what was in a box the mailman brought me...
6 of Lisa's patterns and a booklet, a hairpin lace frame as our next month project will be using that. Good thing, I know I have one, but where is the question...lol
then look at all the yarn....
I know there's enough for a couple of projects I've been wanting to do, now just have to pick which one.
There is pretty ribbon yarn and matching thread that Lisa said is for Aprils contest..she has me intrigued and I can't wait to see what that is..I love the colors in the ribbon. She also included some black thread and beads for this months contest for the Cleopatra Beaded Necklace. Which I did one as a practice piece so now I'm ready for a good one...I'm surprised too as I was in need for black thread..lol She even included a crochet hook that is from Germany. She was very generous in this package and I do Thank you Lisa very, very much! I love her patterns, they are easy, she even includes pictures so you know what it should look like as different sections. She's always there to help out on questions. Very nice lady and good friend!
Well have to go send myself a pic to work so I can do a doggie post tomorrow..been awhile for that too......
